One of the
products that are in very high demand from Bolivia are leather and
textile bags. The bags
are
made from cow or sheeps hide.
There are several types:
oscaria: soft leather with an even and shiny
surface
vaqueta: hard leather with a rustic look
cabritilla: soft goatskin
nobu: suede
For leather goods theses are often decorated with a typical local style
embossed border. This is often an Aguayo (colourful weaved textile) fitted
into the leather goods as shown below.
